About Samode
Situated around 40 kms from the Pink city of Jaipur, Samode offers an ideal
desert getaway. A camel safari through the Samode village and the
neighbouring countryside offers a fascinating experience. Samode is famous
for its imposing Samode Palace, which stands as a fine example of Rajput
architectural style. The palace is nestled amidst rugged hills and is
amongst the most impressive small palaces in Rajasthan. The palace was
awarded by a Kachchawaha ruler of Amber to one of his twelve sons about 400
years ago. Samode offers some superb locale for a day long excursion.
Shekhawati village, about 2 kms from Samode, is also famous for its havelis
