Indore now also known as "mini Mumbai" was named after the
Indreshwar temple in 1741.The ancient city of Indore has many historical
places of tourist interest .To start with is the Rajwada palace which is a
unique blend of French, Mughal and Maratha style of architechture. Seth
Hukanchand temple also known as Kanch Mandir is beauty personified. How can
one miss the lal Bagh Palace which stands in all its glory midst beautiful
gardens.Other places that pull tourists are the Gandhi hall, The Chattri
bagh and the bada ganpati temple. The Gita Bhavan, the Annapurna temple,
Bijasen Tekri (a hilltop picnic spot and a vantage point to see Indore at
night), and Gomtagiri Jain temples are other places worth visiting in
Indore.
